The online world is still new to many people, however it is a permanent faucet of our lives. What better time to start exploring this virtual world than the present? Despite the technical terms and ever-changing lingo, the internet is not as complex as most consumers believe. There are standards and regulations that maintain order and ease-of-access in the World Wide Web. All web sites use similar languages that are easily explained and easy to understand. The ATTIC provides universal technical instruction tailored to the needs' of Appalachian residents. If you have questions or concerns, please browse our FAQ! Benefits:
The ATTIC is a web school devoted to personal enrichment through tutoring and relevant instruction. There are no “prerequisite classes,” to enjoy any of the courses offered. Since there are no credits required, participants are allowed to choose only the classes that interest them.
Several of the classes offered do provide certificates of completion to participants; however we do not offer degrees. This is a relaxed and informal learning service where the participants are free to set their own study times.
It is also the hope that the experience will impart academic confidence to participants. Further instruction is not something you “lose.” Even if it has been ten or twenty years since high school, higher education is attainable for anyone with a desire to learn. We attempt to recreate a similar atmosphere to an accredited college for this purpose.
