She is a violent rose, becoming empty and old with time
Just a forgotten memory, an actress in her own life
The dreams are never void, but the void is her world
A violent rose becoming bitter, what happened to the girl?

She'll think of moonlight and wonder why
No matter what, it passes her by
Cold faces line the walls of ancient hallways
Forsaken by the Eden brought on by naïve days
In another time and in another place
She cried out in her envy, fooled by the maze
In her anger and her vengeance, too many nights were cold
Now in a heart lies nothing, but dreaming of growing old

The times never seemed so devoid of simpler things
Complexities and heartache, a song within the wings
Arabellle was so calm when her world fell apart
Already tired of changing, but it was the start
In boredom and confusion, death loomed over the land
One kiss when all was sacred, no need to understand
A jester in a courtyard proved an amusing thought
Obsessed with security, nothing else was sought
So she dreamed of a love, of a life for all time
Some dreams will help, though she'll never be divine

They followed her through valleys, and over sandy shore
But, when the ride came in, there was nothing more
Over deserts and golden sands of beautiful light
The hateful heart spawned bitter cold, brought into the night
So she'll seek a quiet refuge when the time is done
Never thought she'd regret the way it all become
Should a careless curse of wisdom bring all the sorrow?
Just a jester in the mind, seeking a tragic tomorrow

Arabellle, so strong and untouchable to anyone
Just as long as she's forgotten she'll never be alone
When she's weak and vulnerable, defenseless to cruel time
She'll be vicious and heartless, a violent rose of time.
