A broken heart never mends,
It leaves a scar to be opened again.
Hiding in the shadows he prepares for attack,
Innocent followers are stabbed in the back.
It’s cupid’s hidden colors, the only robe he has,
A long, flowing velvet of only purest black.
And so he said unto me, if you want to be free,
Never fall in love...

If you should dream of a lover’s embrace,
To kiss their lips or wear that lace,
Then don’t say I didn’t warn a fool.
It will bargain with fate and turn on you,
And if you wish to rise above,
Then listen to me, never fall in love.
